Soul Food Sundays
In preparation for Roux (opening this August), I thought we should put together a small dinner series called Soul Food Sundays. Some people might call it a “pop-up” but lets refrain from that phrase and stick with dinner series. In essence, I want it to feel like the meal you’d have at Granny’s house after church on Sunday. Family style dinning, hearty foods and fun. And yeah, we are testing out the recipes I’m planning for us to serve at Roux. So join us, take a seat at the table, enjoy a drink and relax.
Our first Soul Food Sunday is hosted by the fantastic folks at Chino’s (1024 E. Pike St) in Capitol Hill on March 25. They’ve kindly handed over the keys and are letting us play a bit. The cost to attend is $35.00 per person. The menu is a few of my personal favorites:- Soul Food Salad

Where Ya At Gospel Brunch! February 26th
Our first NOLA style Gospel Brunch. The authentic experience you’d find at the House of Blues here in Seattle. We’ve got two gospel choirs lined up to bring some soulful music to you and a delicious Creole brunch menu planned.
Two seatings with food served family style. First seating is at 10:30am and the second one at noon. Seating is limited to 75 people per seating. Kids are welcome but must have a ticket.Menu:
